The prompting trick that 10x'd my AI outputs overnight

💡 Set a role, provide context, and show examples. These three things transform generic AI outputs into targeted ones.

Most people write prompts like they're talking to a search engine. But the single biggest improvement? Give the AI a role and context before the task.

Instead of "Write me a marketing email," try: "You are a senior copywriter at a B2B SaaS company. Our product helps teams automate invoicing. Write a cold outreach email to CFOs of mid-market companies."

This works because LLMs are essentially pattern completers. When you set the context, you're activating the right "region" of the model's knowledge. The role primes the style. The context primes the content. The specificity primes the quality.

Another key technique: few-shot prompting. Show 2-3 examples of what you want before asking. The model picks up on format, tone, and level of detail from your examples.
