The 5 workflows that make Claude Code feel like a 10x multiplier
💡 Master these patterns: auto-commits, piped error analysis, /init on new repos, multi-file refactoring, and web-to-terminal handoffs.
After watching power users, these five patterns stand out:
1. "Commit my changes" — Claude stages files, writes a descriptive commit message from the diff, and creates the commit. No more writing commit messages yourself.
2. Pipe error logs — tail -100 error.log | claude -p "what's causing these errors?" turns cryptic stack traces into actionable explanations.
3. "/init on any new repo" — Running /init generates a CLAUDE.md by analyzing your codebase. It discovers build commands, test scripts, and conventions automatically. Start every project this way.
4. Multi-file refactoring — "Rename the User class to Account across the entire codebase, update all imports, and run the tests." Claude handles the blast radius you'd spend an hour doing manually.
5. Start a task on web, finish in terminal — Kick off a long-running task at claude.ai/code (even from your phone), then pull it into your local terminal with claude --teleport when you're back at your desk.
