The product detail page is your new storefront

💡 The PDP is a set of controllable parts — title, images, bullets, attributes, price, reviews — each of which must both persuade a human and feed the retailer's algorithm.

The product detail page (PDP) is the single most important asset on the digital shelf — the online equivalent of the box in a shopper's hands plus the salesperson explaining it. Learn to read one and you'll see it's made of distinct, controllable parts:

- Title — the headline; also heavily used by search ranking. - Images (the "image stack") — hero shot, then infographics, lifestyle photos, size charts. - Bullets / key features — scannable benefits and specs. - Description / enhanced content — the longer story, often with rich "A+" modules. - Attributes — structured facts (color, size, material, wattage) that also power filters. - Price & availability — including who "owns the buy box." - Ratings & reviews — social proof, and a search signal. - Q&A — shopper questions answered.

Each element does double duty: it persuades a human and feeds the retailer's algorithm. A good title converts and ranks; strong attributes sell and make you appear in filtered searches. That dual purpose is the heart of digital-shelf work.
