Intention has seven faces — and most people only recognize one of them.
💡 Intention has seven faces: creativity, kindness, love, beauty, expansion, abundance, and receptivity. Feeling stuck? Check which one you've turned away from.
Dyer describes intention not as a single force but as having seven faces — seven qualities that characterize the energy of creation itself:
1. Creativity — Intention is inherently creative. The universe is always creating, never static. Connecting to intention means aligning with this creative impulse.
2. Kindness — Genuine kindness (not people-pleasing) aligns you with intention. Cruelty and harshness disconnect you.
3. Love — Not romantic love, but unconditional acceptance. Dyer argues that love is the fundamental nature of the universe and that fear is the opposite of intention.
4. Beauty — Appreciation of beauty raises your energy toward intention. Cynicism and ugliness lower it.
5. Expansion — Intention always moves toward growth and expansion, never contraction. When you feel yourself shrinking (playing small, hiding), you've moved away from intention.
6. Abundance — The universe is infinitely abundant. Scarcity thinking is an ego construct that blocks intention.
7. Receptivity — Intention is open and receptive, not closed and defensive. Being willing to receive is as important as being willing to act.
The practical application: when you feel stuck, check which face you've turned away from. Usually it's one of these seven.
