You are not the manager of everyone's feelings

💡 Others' emotions are theirs to feel; let them, and respond from steadiness rather than panic.

Many of us are chronic emotional caretakers — we tiptoe, over-explain, and rush to fix the moment someone near us is upset. Robbins argues this habit quietly runs your life, because you're constantly adjusting yourself to regulate other people's emotions.

The theory applies cleanly: Let Them be disappointed, annoyed, or upset. Another adult's emotional reaction is theirs to feel and process. Absorbing it as your emergency doesn't actually help them — it just makes their mood the boss of your behavior.

Let Me, then, means staying steady and responding from your own values instead of from panic. Robbins is careful to distinguish this from not caring: you can be compassionate and refuse to treat someone else's every feeling as a crisis you must solve.
